Deku effectively stripped the power of the insult away from Bakugou and proceeded to make it his own with the help and encouragement from Uraraka. Which of course would make Bakugou, at the very least, peeved. Because if Deku becomes his hero name if he calls him Deku he’s acknowledging that Deku is worthy of becoming a hero which is the exact opposite of what he was telling him before.
Or something like that
